Gw Factions : Bigger Requirements? - Guild Wars Forums

Will the new factions need bigger requirements and in turn cause more lagg e.t.c. Because im sure theres many people out there like me that want to buy it but are unsure if their pcs are good enough for it.

There's no official note, however my guess it'll be based on the same engine, just different story and landscape. This means, no. If you can play GW now, you will most likely be able to play factions aswell.

The engine will be updated as time goes by which means future chapters will have higher requirements for the top quality of gfx and such, but I would think they'll try and keep the average quality at a similar point.

I read some where that they plan to update the game with the latest technology as it comes available. So in a few years you will more than likely have to upgrade.

Lag problems lately (especially in LA) make me wonder what kind of lag we will be dealing with when Factions is released.

I have 2 computers 2 accounts one is a cheapie 1.5 and dont remember what the color card is but it lags bad on the same network. 512k crap graphics and slow.

The good one is a 3.2 with 850agp and 1meg no lag great graphics fast beat most to mission start. So just to let you know its the computer and graphics card that causes the Lag if you have a DSL or Cable modem.
